The Trefoil Society Luncheon for East Tennessee was held at The Foundry on the Fair Site. This event pays honor to distinguished women leaders who also uphold the traditions and embodiment of the Girl Scout Law. The 2024 Honoree for the East Tennessee region was Justice Sharon G. Lee. As a young person, Justice Lee collected many badges as a Girl Scout in her hometown of Madisonville, Tennessee. As an adult, she was the first woman to serve as Attorney for Monroe County, the City of Madisonville, the City of Vonore and as Madisonville City Judge. Justice Lee also became the fi rst woman to serve on the Eastern Section of the Court of Appeals and was later appointed to the Tennessee Supreme Court. She served as Chief Justice of the Court from 2014-2016. A great afternoon of recognition and fellowship was had at this year’s Trefoil Society Luncheon.
