April is a magical time in East Tennessee, minus the allergens swirling in the air of course. As a mom to two active boys, I have welcomed the warm air and longer days with open arms. The bubbles and chalk have been restocked thanks to the Easter bunny, the patio furniture has been cleaned and we are embracing all of the adventures ahead of us in the coming months.

Many of you will find your calendars suddenly filled with fundraising events, concerts and festivals. Mine is filled with reminders for end of the school year functions, camp signup date and swim lessons. Regardless of the season of life that you find yourself in, there is plenty to do in Knoxville in April. One event that many of us look forward to is the Dogwood Arts Festival. A beloved tradition in our community, the festival is a celebration of art, culture and the natural beauty that surrounds us.

As April unfolds its vibrant colors and warmer embrace, it’s a time for us all to cherish the moments with loved ones and embrace the beauty of our surroundings. As we navigate through the flurry of activities filling our calendars, let’s not forget to pause and appreciate the simple joys that each day brings. Here’s to a month filled with laughter, adventure and the timeless magic of springtime in East Tennessee.
